Recount Writing
How you belong and fit in at school is important to you and your development. The way you interact with others and how you learn play an important part in your school identity. Think about your classroom and school being like a bit of extended family that you get to see everyday.
Today, you will be writing a recount. It is important in Recount writing to make sure we use our
5 W ’s (Who, What, When, Where, Why) and their cousin How.

TOPIC ONE: Remember back to your first day of school this year. Write about your first day and meeting your new teacher. How did this go? Where and when did this happen?: At year 5 and 6 camp
What happened and how?: We were playing and having fun. |
Begin your writing here: It was the year 5 and 6 camp,me and Tumoe were going to mr jacobson's activity for camp. We were going to Mr Jacobson's activity because it was on our activity shcudule. While Me and Tumoe were really excited because we heard that there was gonna be a water balloon fight. When we arrived at where Mr Jacobesons activity was we sat down on the grass and then we saw another team Tumoe and i didnt know what they were doing. Until Mr Jacobson said that we were going to be versusing the other team! Everyone was getting excited and also very hot. To win we had to complete all the obstcorses as a team and then the first team to put up their flag wins! Everybody was running and completing the obstcorses me and Tumoe were enjoying the obstrcosers and then suddenly the other put the flag and they won. Even though they won me and Tumoe still had fun and we also enjoyed the water balloon fight A Lot.
