Writing Samosa

 How to make samosas


Today  you are going to share instructions on how to create samosas. Watch the video on how to make samosas . You will need to use the video to help you know all of the ingredients and equipment needed to make samosas. You will also need to use the video to help you know the step by step instructions to make samosas. Make sure that your instructions are in the right order and provide enough detail for someone else to follow and create their own samosas. 


Equipment:

  •  Mixing bowl, Deep fryer or a pot, measuring spoons.



Ingredients:

  • Flour, Ghee, Water, Potatoes, Cumin seeds, Garam Masala, salt, Turmeric, Ginger paste, peas, crushed garlic, cashew, coriander.



Instructions:

First put 2 cups of flour into a mixing bowl, Then  put ½ a teaspoon of salt into the bowl once you have done that. Put 1/4 cups of  oil or melted Ghee into the bowl then mix until absorbed, Rub the flour with oil until mixture resembles crumbs. Next put ¼ cups of water into the mixture, knead into a firm dough.Cover it and leave it for 30 mins.

FILLINGS 

Boil 3 potatoes then chop them up, put some oil in a pan and put in 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds, ½ teaspoons of garam masala, 1 teaspoon turmeric and then cook for 30 - 60 seconds. Finely chop up 1 green chili.  2-3 cloves of crushed garlic into the pan, 1 teaspoon of  ginger paste into the pan with the green chili then cook for 1 min. After that, put 1 chopped onion into the pan then stir for 3-4 mins, put in the potatoes you chopped in the pan also put 1 cup of green peas mix well then put in 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.Put in some cashew and coriander then mix.  

DOUGH

Divide the dough into 6-7 equal parts, turn the dough into balls and place a towel over it. After  that, roll them into an oval then cut them into a half. Form a cone, fill the cone with the potato filling , Brush the edges with water and seal it. Lastly, deep fry the samosas for 4-5 mins until golden brown.
